When Cameron Brink returned to the court for the Los Angeles Sparks this week, it wasn’t just another appearance in a long WNBA season. It was the beginning of a new chapter in her athletic journey — one that has already inspired many, especially here in Oregon.

After tearing her ACL in June of 2024 during Team USA qualifying play, Brink stepped away from the game, knowing it would take more than just time to return. And after over a year of focused recovery, she took the floor again this week. She wasn’t rushed. She didn’t push beyond the plan. Instead, she did what few athletes — and even fewer organizations — have the patience to do: commit to the full process.
