A Message from the Nutritionist..

Jennie Carolan is a nutritionist with her Master’s in Food Science & Nutrition. She brings years of experience in the nutrition field to the table, but more importantly, countless success stories. She’s helped the busiest of sales reps and flight attendants shed body fat & weight, over to the on-the-go moms & dads that are looking get back to the body they once had. Jennie and the APEX Team aren’t here for a quick fix, another fad diet, or just trying to catch attention quickly – she truly wants to help you transform your tomorrow and be the last nutritionist you ever work with.

Week by Week, Nutrition Challenge Sneak Peek...

Each week during the APEX PWR 12-Week Nutrition Challenge, you’ll receive guidance to keep you on track & progressing toward your goals. This will take place on LIVE calls with nutritionist Jennie Carolan. Based on your DEXA Scan results & submitted questionnaire, our nutritionist will calculate your individual macronutrients. These will be updated as needed throughout the challenge.

This approach emphasizes building sustainable habits, focusing on what you can add to your nutrition rather than restrictive dieting, and eliminating the “start again tomorrow” mindset.

What This Nutrition & Fitness Challenge Includes:

  • 3 DEXA Scans: We utilize the gold standard in body composition analysis to establish a baseline, check in halfway and at the end of the 12 weeks
  • Fitness Membership: You have the option to select an in-person, unlimited access to our group strength training & cardio classes – OR – virtual group fitness coaching, including a personalized program for your gym, time and goals
  • Personalized Macros: Our nutritionist will give you a customized macro breakdown based on your DEXA Scan results and a tracker to stay on top of your nutrition.
  • 12 LIVE Calls with Nutritionist: Each week of the challenge includes a live educational presentation plus Q&A and check in prompts to monitor progress. 
  • Recipe Resources: You will receive recipe ideas, ways to get creative with similar ingredients, & shopping lists, minimizing the overwhelming feeling of starting something new & tracking what you’re eating. 
  • Supportive Online Community: A private Facebook group awaits to join the others that are on a similar journey. The group will foster community (outside of the in person workouts), keep you accountable and help you stay motivated over the 12 week challenge.

3. After completion of initial DEXA Scan & questionnaire, our team will develop your personalized approach to this challenge.

Open 6 days per week, early & late: We offer group training and physical therapy six days per week. On Saturday mornings, we also have appointments, along with classes & special events. Additionally, we offer personal training, virtual training and open gym.

Frequently asked questions about the 12 Week Nutrition Challenge:

This is not a fad diet or quick fix. We focus on weekly average weight, measurements, and your biofeedback. On average, clients lose between 0.5 lbs to 1% of their body weight per week.

If you feel you've hit a plateau (two weeks with no progress despite 90%+ adherence to the plan), Jennie will adjust your macros after you complete a follow-up questionnaire. Don't worry -- this isn't common if you're sticking to the plan!

Jennie will guide you step-by-step through your tracker to assess your progress. You'll learn what to review and receive feedback on how to better hit your goals.

We'll have a dedicated Facebook group where challenge members can:

  • share recipes
  • celebrate successes
  • discuss challenges

Jennie will check in daily to provide feedback and encouragement!

If you're already a physical therapy patient, adult group training member or recently scheduled for a DEXA Scan, this is a separate program you will need to purchase. Your existing membership or DEXA Scans will be paused or credited upon start of this program and restarted after the challenge is completed. At APEX, we offer 2 different options for adult fitness: in person or virtual. This challenge includes the option to choose a premier membership, which includes unlimited access to group classes at APEX - OR - the option to do group virtual fitness coaching, which is more optimal for those that don't live close to APEX. You will be able to register for classes within the APEX PWR app on your phone. For the group fitness coaching, you will receive a customized workout program to execute at your own gym and check ins for fitness will be on live group calls every other week. 

 After purchasing the challenge, our team will be in touch with you to get your scheduled for your 3 DEXA scans during the designated challenge times. Each participant is required to use their three DEXA Scans during these times and they cannot be saved for use later in the challenge.

This program is especially designed for those that are busy and on the go so we are recording every call and making it available to play whenever fits your schedule. You can also submit nutrition questions in advance so our nutritionist can answer the question on the live call. There will also be support in the Facebook group.

This challenge is customized to each person and their goals. Our team is more than happy to create a plan that is driven towards building muscle as opposed to losing weight. All you need to do is state your goals in your initial questionnaire and our nutrition and fitness teams will know what to do from there.
