How it starts

You Get a Coach Before You Get a Program

Nobody here gets dropped into a class and left to figure it out. Every path below starts one-on-one with a member of our team — and every one is a paid intro with nothing required after it.

For youth athletes

Sports Science Assessment

The deepest testing we do · VALD technology

This is the data-heavy one. VALD force plates and timing gates measure how your athlete actually produces force, absorbs it and moves, so their program is built on their numbers instead of their age group.

  • VALD force plate jump & landing testing
  • Timed speed and acceleration gates
  • Movement screen and injury-risk flags
  • Goals conversation with you and your athlete
  • Results walked through in plain English

For adults · 1-on-1

Personal Training Foundations Trial

Three one-on-one sessions with a coach

Three full sessions, just you and a coach. We assess how you move, talk through your goals and history, then actually train — so you learn the movements properly before anyone asks you to keep going.

  • Movement assessment and goals conversation
  • 3 coached one-on-one sessions
  • Technique built from scratch, at your pace
  • Honest consult at the end — including "not yet"

For adults · small group

Group Foundations Trial

One 1-on-1 session, then two group sessions

You start one-on-one with a coach so you learn the movements and the format first. Then you join two real small group sessions — walking in already knowing what you’re doing instead of being thrown into a class cold.

  • 1 private session: assessment, goals, technique
  • 2 real small group sessions, coached
  • See the format, the pace and the room firsthand
  • Honest consult at the end — including "not yet"

What actually happens

Five Steps, Same For Everyone

Whether it’s a 14-year-old midfielder or a 46-year-old who hasn’t lifted in a decade, the process doesn’t change.

1

A short conversation about goals, schedule and history — and which starting point actually fits you.

2

One-on-one. VALD testing for athletes, movement assessment and technique work for adults.

3

Real sessions in the real program, coached by the people who'd be coaching you.

4

We walk through the data together and you decide. No pressure, no pitch.

5

Programming built on your numbers, retested quarterly so progress is documented, not assumed.

Sixty seconds each. Testing, coaching, and the kind of work that happens on a normal Tuesday.

Why we start with data

Most Programs Skip the Baseline

They run everyone through the same drills and hope something sticks. Here’s what changes when you measure first.

📊

Measured, Not Guessed

VALD force plates and timing gates for athletes, movement assessment for adults. The plan comes from your numbers, not from an age bracket or a template.

🩺

Safe, Pain-Free Progress

We opened as a physical therapy clinic. Form, mobility and technique come first, so your body feels better after training, not worse.

🤝

One-on-One Before Anything Else

Every path starts private with a coach. Nobody gets handed a program and pointed at a rack, and nobody walks into their first group session not knowing the format.

Want more detail first?

Read Up Before You Reach Out

Yes. Each one is a paid, one-time intro — that's what pays for the one-on-one coach time and the testing. What you don't do is commit to anything afterward. Nothing renews, nothing auto-bills, and we'll give you pricing for ongoing training only once we've both seen whether it's a fit.

If you're new to lifting, coming back after time away, or you want personal training, take the three-session one-on-one. If you like the idea of training alongside other people, take the group trial — you'll still get a private session first so you're not walking into a class blind.

Volume of data. Both cover goals and how you move, but the SSA uses VALD force plates and timing gates to capture measurable numbers on force production, landing mechanics and speed — the same kind of testing used with pro and collegiate athletes.

Programming is built around age, training history and sport. The assessment exists specifically so we don't over- or under-load a developing athlete.

That's most of the people who start with the one-on-one trial. Coaching, not intimidation — and a physical therapy team on site if anything hurts.
