Sled sprints are an awesome exercise we utilize to help acceleration development.

- Improve shin angles and body positioning
- Reinforce powerful first steps
- Build strength that directly transfers to sprinting
By adjusting sled load based on testing results, we ensure athletes are challenged without compromising mechanics.
While these are a great exercise for many athletes, there area wide range of exercises and options we have available at APEX to help each athlete specifically.
Strength Training That Supports Speed
Speed does not exist without strength. After sprint work, athletes move into the weight room to reinforce force production and tissue resilience.
Strength training for speed development can commonly includes (among many other exercises):
- Hex Bar Deadlifts to build total body force and power
- Bulgarian Split Squats for unilateral strength and stability
- Nordic Hamstring Curls to reduce hamstring injury risk
This combination supports sprint performance while also protecting athletes from common speed related injuries.
